Job Opportunity: Endoscopy Registered Nurse

Location: Augusta, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 14 weeks


Job Details

  • Shift: Day shifts, typically 3 shifts of 12 hours each (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
  • Hours per Week: 36 hours
  • Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics
  • Unit Systems: Pyxis, Epic
  • Patient Ratio: 1:2 nurse to patient ratio; 3 rooms, 11 beds, average daily census of 20
  • Scrub Color: Navy Blue
  • Call Requirements:
    • 1 weekday call per week
    • 1 weekend call per 6-week schedule
  • Weekends: 2-3 weekends per contract
  • Floating: None
  • Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days per contract
  • RTO Blackout Dates: Spring Break (April 4th-12th)
  • Holiday Work:
    • If 1 major holiday falls during assignment, expected to work it
    • If 2 major holidays fall, expected to work both
    • If 3 major holidays fall, expected to work two of them
  • Major Holidays Include: New Year’s Eve/Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
  • Minimum 1 year of endoscopy experience, with recent endoscopy experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Orientation and Compliance

  • Number of Non-Billable Orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment)
  • Full compliance with all requirements is mandatory to start on time; delays in compliance may result in a 2-week pushback due to bi-weekly orientation scheduling
  • Clinical screening will be conducted to determine clinical fit before final approval

Additional Notes

  • Locals are accepted at the same rate
  • No floating assignments required
  • Dress and professional appearance policies must be reviewed and acknowledged prior to start
  • Candidates must review and sign the facility’s Code of Conduct before starting

This position offers an opportunity to work in a specialized endoscopy unit with a focus on advanced procedures and adult to geriatric patient care in a structured travel contract setting.
