Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Location: Rumford, Maine
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Weekly Hours: 36 (flex position)
Shift: Variable shifts including 10am-10pm and 7pm-7am
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend required
Call Requirements: None

Facility & Unit Overview

• Critical access hospital with 25 beds
• Level 3 Trauma Center
• Emergency Department with patient ratios approximately 1:2.5
• Patient population includes all ages and a wide range of illnesses and injuries
• One of only two RNs working in the department, requiring a high skill level
• The only hospital within 40 miles of a trauma center, serving a broad spectrum of emergency cases
• Electronic Health Records systems used: Omnicell, Cerner, SBAR
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Current certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
