Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Valid Driver’s License or State ID
• Background checks including:

  • National Criminal Check
  • State and County Searches (10 years, all aliases)
  • SSN Trace with all aliases
  • National Sex Offender Registry
  • FACIS Level 3
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM
  • HHS/OIG
• Education verification with official transcript or diploma including graduation date
• Missouri EDL Search within 30 days of start
• Primary source verification of state license within 30 days of start
• Professional references: 2 within last 3 years
• Employment application and skills checklist
• Verification of most recent employer

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within the last 12 months (not required annually)
• Fit mask testing completed onsite at orientation
• Negative TB test (PPD, Q-Gold, or T-SPOT) within 1 year, updated annually

  • For positive TB results, chest x-ray within 6 months and annual TB questionnaire required
• Immunizations or proof of immunity (2 vaccines, positive titer, or declination accepted) for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
• Hepatitis B vaccination series, titer, or declination
• Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season or approved medical/religious exemption (mask required if exempt)
• Drug screen within 30 days of start (not required annually) covering a comprehensive panel of substances

Competency & Testing Requirements

• Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam with a passing score of 84% or higher (2 attempts allowed; ICU unit has 1 attempt only)
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement (annual)
• Pass/fail testing related to specialty as required

Additional Information

• Scrubs of any color allowed
• Return-to-Office (RTO) limit: 2 requests per contract
• Confidentiality agreement, code of conduct, and other facility-specific documents must be reviewed and signed prior to start
• Onsite training and orientation required, including fit testing and possible AVADE training if contract is extended

This position offers a structured night shift schedule with a defined patient ratio and supports first-time travel therapists. Compliance with comprehensive background checks, health screenings, and competency testing is mandatory.
