Registered Nurse – Day Surgery / Procedures (Pre-op/Post-op Phase II)
Location: Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Overview
- Provide nursing care for patients in Pre-op and Post-op Phase II within a Day Surgery Unit.
- Plan and coordinate quality nursing care following ANA Standards of Nursing Practice.
- Collaborate with clinical personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards.
- Support the clinical area's philosophy, goals, and shared governance vision.
Work Schedule
- Four 10-hour day shifts per week (38 hours total).
- Must be available for evening and weekend call rotations.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado.
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Minimum of 3 years of Day Surgery nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
- Experience in Pre-Op nursing.
- Infusion nursing experience.
- Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience.
- Coronary Care Unit (CCU) experience.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association.
- Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Experience with Epic electronic medical records system.
Additional Requirements
- Must reside at least 75 miles away from the facility (radius rule).
- Compliance with Colorado CAPS registration requirements may be necessary.

- Submit resume, skills sheet, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, proof of flu vaccination, and RN license copy.
- Ensure accurate Social Security number and date of birth to avoid onboarding delays.
