Description
Registered Nurse (PACU) – Contract Position
Location: Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Provide quality nursing care in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) following ANA Standards of Nursing Practice.
- Collaborate with clinical personnel to maintain professional nursing standards.
- Support the philosophy, goals, and shared governance of the nursing team.
Work Schedule
- 4 shifts per week, each 10 hours long
- Rotating evening and weekend call
- Approximately 38 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Minimum 2 years of PACU (Post Anesthesia Care) experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Additional Requirements
- Traveler’s permanent address must be at least 75 miles from the facility (radius rule)
- Must comply with Colorado CAPS registration requirements (may take up to two weeks to obtain)
- Accurate Social Security number and date of birth must be provided to avoid onboarding delays
