Registered Nurse - ICU (Dallas, TX) - Travel Assignment

Job Details

Location: Dallas, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
Unit: Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)
Number of Beds: 16
Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:2
Shift/Workdays: To be discussed during the interview
Call Requirements: To be discussed during the interview
Scheduling: Flexible, schedule provided about one month in advance
Floating: As needed

Unit & Equipment

ICU equipment including ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, GE Cardiac Output monitor
Documentation system: Meditech
Assignments based on patient acuity and nurse skill level

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Minimum 2 years of Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) experience
Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification preferred
Experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) and hypothermia protocols
Meditech documentation experience preferred

Dress Code & Appearance Guidelines

Scrub color: Royal Blue for RNs
Nails: Clean and healthy; no artificial, gel, or next-gen nails allowed
Hair: Neat and clean; no extreme styles or colors; hair shoulder length or longer must be pulled back in the lab
Facial hair: Must be clean and neatly trimmed
Tattoos: Should be covered whenever possible; exceptions handled individually
Piercings: Only ear piercings allowed; no visible nose, tongue, or other piercings

Additional Notes

Attendance policies follow company-wide standards
Floating and unit guidelines apply as per hospital policy
