    Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech

    Location: Eureka, California
    Employment Type: Travel/Contract
    Contract Length: 13 weeks
    Shift: Day (4x10 hours), 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
    Hours per Week: 40


    Job Description

    • Work in the Cath Lab performing diagnostic and interventional procedures related to:
      • Coronary Artery Disease
      • Peripheral Vascular Disease
      • Cardiac Arrhythmias
      • Permanent pacemaker implantation
    • Daily caseload: 8-12 procedures
    • Call required; no weekend or floating requirements
    • Orientation: 30 hours (reduced non-billable orientation; 0 hours NBO vs. standard 40 hours)
    • Block schedule accommodation considered
    • Locals accepted

    Facility Type

    • Acute Care Hospital with 150 staffed beds
    • Charting system: Epic
    • Scrub colors provided for Cath Lab staff
    • Free parking on first day; assignment parking provided during orientation
    • Support available for housing, including realtor assistance if needed

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in California
    • Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
    • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
    • Fluoroscopy Permit
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification

    Health and Safety Requirements

    • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
    • Immunizations and screenings required:
      • TDAP vaccine within 10 years (declination accepted)
      • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual updates required)
      • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer with acceptable alternatives
      • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
      • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
      • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season
      • COVID-19 vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with masking requirements
    • Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (instant acceptable)
    • Respirator clearance required annually for travel candidates

    Background and Compliance

    • Background check within 90 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
    • Education verification required
    • E-Verify attestation required
    • State-specific searches as applicable
    • Annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules required via LMS platform
    • Photo for badge required (passport style with neutral background)

    Additional Information

    • No weekend or floating requirements
    • Facility allows calling off 1 shift per 2 weeks
    • Prior travel experience is not required; first-time travelers accepted
    • Orientation is reduced compared to standard
    • Nature and recreational opportunities nearby, including proximity to multiple state and national parks
