Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) - Travel Position

Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Work Schedule: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day
Employment Type: Travel, Full Time

Job Summary

• Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures.
• Support other imaging technologists as needed to ensure smooth and efficient patient flow.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment maintenance and participate in quality assurance activities.
• Resolve issues related to image processing and archiving systems (PACS).
• Flexibility to work other shifts and/or at other campuses as required.
• Participate in ongoing education, safety, and technical advancements within licensure scope.
• Maintain expected imaging competencies and adhere to organizational mission, values, and culture.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to core values and departmental policies including professionalism, confidentiality, and reliability.
• Collaborate with management, coworkers, and physicians to promote staff growth and physician satisfaction.
• Adapt patient assessment and care methods to accommodate unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and age-specific needs.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Perform examinations/procedures to assist patient throughput within licensure and competency scope.
• Ensure exams are correctly scanned and stored in PACS; follow PACS downtime procedures as a superuser.
• Report equipment malfunctions and follow up appropriately.
• Participate in weekend on-call rotation.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technologist license in New Mexico
• Minimum 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
• ARRT Radiography (R) certification
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
