Description
Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) - Travel Position
Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Work Schedule: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day
Employment Type: Travel, Full Time
Job Summary
- Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures.
- Support other imaging technologists as needed to ensure smooth and efficient patient flow.
- Troubleshoot basic equipment maintenance and participate in quality assurance activities.
- Resolve issues related to image processing and archiving systems (PACS).
- Flexibility to work other shifts and/or at other campuses as required.
- Participate in ongoing education, safety, and technical advancements within licensure scope.
- Maintain expected imaging competencies and adhere to organizational mission, values, and culture.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to core values and departmental policies including professionalism, confidentiality, and reliability.
- Collaborate with management, coworkers, and physicians to promote staff growth and physician satisfaction.
- Adapt patient assessment and care methods to accommodate unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and age-specific needs.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Perform examinations/procedures to assist patient throughput within licensure and competency scope.
- Ensure exams are correctly scanned and stored in PACS; follow PACS downtime procedures as a superuser.
- Report equipment malfunctions and follow up appropriately.
- Participate in weekend on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technologist license in New Mexico
- Minimum 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT Radiography (R) certification
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

- Weekend and on-call availability required.
