Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location: Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Shift Options:

  • 4x10 hour shifts (12:00 PM – 10:00 PM)
  • 5x8 hour shifts (6:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
• Rotating weekend schedule (every 3rd weekend) and on-call required
• Required Return to Office (RTO): 3 days or less per week
• Start Dates Available: June 6, June 15, June 29

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technologist license in Wisconsin
• Minimum 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment as a Radiology Technologist or X-Ray Technician
• Experience as an X-Ray Technician

Certifications & Competencies

• BLS (Basic Life Support): ARC or AHA accepted; Provider, Instructor, and RQI also accepted
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): ARC or AHA accepted; Provider, Instructor, and RQI also accepted (not required for CNAs)
• Other certifications may apply depending on specialty and role requirements

Background & Screening Requirements

• 7-year background check including:

  • Social Security trace
  • County searches for last 7 years of residence/work/school
  • Nationwide sex offender check
• State-specific caregiver screening for Wisconsin (agency responsibility for subcontractors)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative QGold TB test within 1 year (TSpot/PPD not accepted) or negative chest X-ray within 60 days of start
• Immunizations or positive titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
• Annual seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (October to March)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen with expanded opiates within 14 days of start (positive marijuana test not disqualifying)

Documentation & Compliance

• Photo for badge (passport-style, shoulders up, no filters)
• Signed confidentiality statement prior to start
• Compliance checklist to be completed by agency representative
• Dosimeter request form required only for Imaging Department (not for MRI Tech specialty)

References & Skills Verification

• Two professional references verified within 2 years of start
• For inpatient RNs only: one reference must be from most recent acute care assignment with performance comments (not applicable for this X-Ray Tech role)
• Annual skills checklist required
