Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location

• Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Schedule

• Varied shifts: Days and Evenings
• Options: 4x10-hour shifts or 5x8-hour shifts
• Rotating weekend schedule (every 3rd weekend)
• On-call duties required

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Radiology / Cardiology specialty
• Prior travel experience required (1st time travelers not accepted)

Licensing

• Wisconsin state license required and must be in hand before start (estimated 4-6 weeks for processing)

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) – ARC or AHA acceptable; AHA Provider, Instructor, and RQI also accepted
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – ARC or AHA acceptable; AHA Provider, Instructor, and RQI also accepted
• Other certifications (PALS, NRP, NIH Stroke Certification) as applicable to specialty or position

Background Checks

• 7-year background check required within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Must include Social Security trace, county searches for last 7 years, nationwide search, and sex offender registry check

Health and Compliance Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative QGold TB test within 1 year (TSpot/PPD not accepted)
• Immunizations or positive titers required for: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B
• Negative 10-panel drug screen with expanded opiates within 14 days before start (marijuana positive not disqualifying)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct-Mar)
• Photo for badge (passport-style, shoulders up, no filters)
• Confidentiality statement signed prior to start

Additional Requirements

• Two professional references verified within 2 years of start
• Annual skills checklist per agency standards
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Color blindness test if working in dialysis/kidney center (not typically required for X-Ray Tech)
• Dosimeter request form required only for Imaging Department (not for MRI Tech specialty)

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technologist license in Wisconsin
• Minimum 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
• Experience as an X-Ray Technician
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
