Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery (Travel)
Location: Thornton, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Information
- Unit: Labor & Delivery
- Beds: 14 LDRPs and 2 ORs
- Staff: Approximately 60 total
- Day Shift: 1 charge RN, 2-3 Labor & Delivery RNs, 2-3 Postpartum RNs
- Night Shift: 1 charge RN, 2-3 Labor & Delivery RNs, 2-3 Postpartum RNs
- Patient Ratios:
- Labor & Delivery: 1:1 to 1:2 maximum
- Postpartum: 3:1 (per AWHONN guidelines)
- Equipment: Beacon
- EMR System: Meditech / CPN
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
- Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- AWHONN certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR
- Postpartum nursing experience
Typical Procedures Performed
- Vaginal assisted deliveries
- Cesarean sections (C-sections)
- Dilation and curettage (D&C) procedures
- Versions (external cephalic version)
