MRI Technologist - Garner, NC

Job Type

• Contract Clinician
• 13-week assignment
• 12-hour day shifts, approximately 36 hours per week
• Local travel may be required

Job Summary

• Perform high-quality MRI studies ensuring patient safety
• Operate imaging equipment including GE 1.5T or other vendor scanners
• Interview patients to explain MRI procedures and address concerns
• Pre-screen patients for contraindications and perform aseptic injection techniques
• Troubleshoot scanner and peripheral equipment to prevent downtime
• Communicate effectively with radiologists and other customers
• Train new technologists and patient coordinators as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of MRI experience in high-volume environments preferred (use higher value: 2 years)
• ARRT (MR) certification required
• Venipuncture certification required
• BLS CPR certification through the American Heart Association required
• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Valid state driver’s license and state license as applicable
• Technical proficiency with MRI equipment and ability to run advanced MR studies independently
• Strong patient care skills with ability to explain complex medical terms clearly
• Ability to work independently and manage customer interactions effectively
