    Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract

    Location

    • Everett, Washington

    Assignment Details

    • Contract Length: 13 weeks
    • Shift: Night, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
    • Guaranteed Hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks (may be called off for 1 shift per 2-week period)
    • Weekend shifts required
    • No on-call required
    • Floating between similar units required
    • Start Date: ASAP
    • Local candidates not accepted
    • First-time travelers accepted

    Facility Type

    • Level II Trauma Center
    • Includes Outpatient, Interventional Radiology, Emergency Room, and Inpatient services
    • Total staffed beds: 571 (across campuses)
    • Charting system: EPIC
    • Parking: Facility paid
    • Scrub color: Any except reddish orange

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license in Washington
    • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
    • Respiratory Care Practitioner experience within the last year
    • ACLS (American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation)
    • BLS (American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation)

    Compliance and Documentation Requirements

    • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
    • Social Security Card (as applicable)
    • Background Check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
    • State-specific searches and verifications as required by Washington state law
    • Education Verification (degree/diploma/transcripts as applicable)
    • Employment Application covering at least last 5 years of employment
    • Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting
    • Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating fitness to work
    • Immunizations and health screenings:
      • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
      • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years (declination accepted)
      • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
      • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
      • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
      • Seasonal Flu vaccination during flu season (declination accepted)
      • COVID-19 vaccination record preferred (declinations not required)
    • Drug Screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months; instant tests acceptable with attestation
    • Respirator Safety Clearance (RespSafety) required annually for respirator use
    • Fit Mask test required for travel candidates, updated annually (may be completed onsite)
    • Annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
    • Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background)

    Additional Notes

    • Floating policy acknowledgment required; may float to other nearby facilities
    • Candidates must comply with facility-specific policies and complete required training modules annually
    • EPIC training modules required for access and charting
    • Color blind testing may be required on a unit-by-unit basis if specified
    • Medication and competency exams required as applicable by profession and specialty

    This position is ideal for experienced Respiratory Therapists seeking a travel contract in a Level II Trauma Center environment with night shifts and weekend work. Candidates must be prepared to float between similar units and meet comprehensive credentialing and compliance requirements.
