Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)
Location: Aurora, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Information
- Unit: Operating Room (OR) with 11 OR beds
- Staff: 53 total
- Night Shift Coverage: 1 Charge Nurse, 1 tech in-house; trauma, neuro, and heart teams on-call
- Patient Ratio: 2:1
- Equipment: Standard OR equipment
- EMR System: Meditech
Job Description
- Provide nursing care in a general OR setting including Neuro/Spine, Cardiovascular Thoracic (CVT), Orthopedics, Gynecology (GYN), and Robotics surgeries
- Call requirements: 1-2 nights per week and 1-2 weekend call shifts per month
- Preferred candidates have charge nurse and precepting experience
- Ideal personality: flexible, easy-going, with strong communication skills
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior Meditech EMR experience
- Charge nurse experience highly preferred
- Precepting experience
