Cath Lab Tech - Travel/Contract

Location: Olympia, Washington
Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour days (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Work in Cardiac Cath Services performing diagnostic procedures, PCI (stents, balloon angioplasty, laser, rota, impella, IABP, CTO), Structural Heart procedures (TAVR, Balloon Valvuloplasty, Watchman), and Electrophysiology (EPS, Afib/Flutter ablations, BIV and pacemaker implants).
• On-call required: 1 call day per week and one weekend every 5-6 weeks.
• Charting system: EPIC.
• Facility type: Short Term Acute Care with 325 staffed beds.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Washington.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, with experience within the last year.
• Current certifications/licenses:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • ARRT-R or CCI RCIS certification
• No pending licenses accepted.
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this travel contract.
• First-time travelers are not accepted.

Preferred Qualifications

• Rhythm interpretation skills preferred.

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID) and Social Security Card required.
• Background check within 90 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years; must be updated annually.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated monthly.
• Education verification required for all candidates.
• State-specific searches and registry checks as applicable for Washington.
• Employment application covering at least the last 5 years required.
• Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting.
• Work history verification required if exceptions to references are requested.

Certifications and Competencies

• Certification verification per clinical track requirements.
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable.
• Competency exams required as applicable by specialty.

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating fitness to work.
• Fit mask test required for travel candidates, updated annually.
• Immunizations and documentation required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer with acceptable alternatives
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer with acceptable alternatives
  • Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season or declination
  • COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with adherence to masking policies
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start; instants acceptable.

Additional Requirements

• Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background) required.
• Annual completion of regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp).
• Float policy acknowledgment: may be required to float to other nearby facilities.
• Respiratory safety clearance required annually for respirator use.
