Occupational Therapist Travel Job – Idaho

Location

  • City: Twin Falls, Idaho
  • Setting: Inpatient adult care in a hospital environment
  • Work areas: Acute Inpatient, Acute Rehab, and potentially ICU depending on experience and need

Contract Details

  • Length: 13 weeks
  • Start Date: Must start in June
  • Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week (07:30 AM – 6:00 PM)
  • Weekend: Rotating weekends unless assigned a regular weekend shift
  • Holidays: As needed
  • Orientation: 2-3 days unit/department-specific orientation; travelers should plan to work Monday-Friday 5 eight-hour shifts during onboarding

Patient Population & Caseload

  • Patients treated per day: 10 to 12
  • Common diagnoses: Orthopedic total joints, neurological (strokes, occasional brain injuries), medical, general ICU patients
  • No traumatic brain injury (TBI) cases typically seen

Required Qualifications

  • Occupational Therapist license valid in the state of Idaho
  • Minimum 1 year of licensed experience in acute inpatient or rehab settings (first-time travelers are acceptable)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system preferred

Additional Information

  • Department: Occupational Therapy
  • Staffing: Rehab aides available; no Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) on staff
  • Dress code: Scrubs permitted but must not match colors of other departments (color options provided upon hire)
  • Facility enforces a 50-mile radius rule; candidates must reside outside this radius to be considered

This position is ideal for Occupational Therapists with at least one year of acute inpatient or rehab experience seeking a 13-week travel assignment in a hospital setting with a structured schedule and diverse patient population.
