Registered Nurse (OR) - Oregon
Location
- City: Pendleton, Oregon
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Dayshift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Call Requirements:
- Weeknight call: 3:00 PM – 6:30 AM
- Weekend call: Friday 3:00 PM through Monday 6:30 AM
- Holiday call: Yes
- Mandatory call/standby with 20-minute response time
Unit Details
- Operating Rooms: 4 main OR suites, Family Birth Center (C-sections), Endoscopy room
- Common cases: Gynecological (including total laparoscopic hysterectomy), General surgery, Orthopedic joint replacement, fracture and soft tissue repair, Urological, ENT, Podiatry
- Scrubbing required for RNs
- EMR system: Meditech ORM
- Floating: May assist other departments as needed
- Orientation: Unit/department-specific orientation provided
- Dress code: Blue scrubs (provided)
Required Certifications & Licenses
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- Oregon OR RN License (not required at time of application; 90-day emergency license can be requested upon offer)
Experience Requirements
- Strong skills in gynecological and general surgery cases, especially gynecological procedures like TLH (total laparoscopic hysterectomy)
Additional Information
- No charge nurse or house supervisor duties
- No OR tech responsibilities
