Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical

Location: Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours (3 shifts of 12 hours each)

• Unit: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry
• Trauma Level: 4
• Number of Beds: 31
• Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:5
• Equipment Used: SCDs, Baxter IV Pumps, GE VC150s
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: Epic

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical/Telemetry nursing, with experience within the last year
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Must complete all required Pennsylvania screenings and clearances prior to start, including:

  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
  • Department of Human Services Fingerprinting
  • FBI Fingerprinting (within last 2 years or new)
  • Pennsylvania State Police Clearance (PATCH)
• Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel

Job Details

• No call requirements
• No float requirements
• Weekend hours included (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Dress code: Scrubs in grey, black, or blue; other attire is unacceptable
• Common diagnoses treated include Pneumonia, Rule out Chest Pain, CHF, COPD, Post-op Hip, Shoulder, TURP, and General Surgery cases

Additional Notes

• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• All candidates must have complete and clear screenings before starting the assignment
