Cath Lab Tech - Travel/Contract

Location: Modesto, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Day (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36 hours
• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in California
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Radiology Technologist with California ARRT license

Background and Compliance Requirements

• 7-year background check including SSN trace with all aliases, county searches, nationwide sex offender search, education verification, and FACIS Level 3 screening
• Annual updates required for EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and FACIS screenings
• Education verification required unless highest education is high school
• Official transcripts/diplomas may be required if verification attempts are unsuccessful
• Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to California law)
• Full 7 years of work history with no gaps over 30 days; employment verification required
• References: 2 professional references within 3 years for clinical/allied/per diem acute care candidates

Certifications and Competencies

• BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC only)
• Additional certifications may be required based on position (e.g., PALS, NRP, CCRN, TNCC) – verify as applicable
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exams as applicable
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam may be required for some telemetry units

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, including clearance for work and any work restrictions documented
• Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (exceptions apply)
• TB screening questionnaire within 90 days of start, renewed annually; negative TB test or chest x-ray as required
• Immunizations or positive titers required for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (series or declination)
  • Varicella
• Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30) or signed declination with mask requirement in patient care areas
• Color blindness exam (in-person) if applicable
• Respiratory safety clearance required, renewed annually (not required for dieticians)

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Candidate must review and sign facility policies and job description prior to start, including:

  • Standards of Business Conduct
  • Vendor Training (2024 and 2025 versions as applicable)
  • Code of Conduct (2024 and 2025 versions as applicable)
  • Overpayment Refund Policy (2024 and 2025 versions as applicable)
  • General Regulatory Orientation for Contracted Workers
  • Dress Code Policy (review only)
• Completion of conditional offer of employment attestation prior to start
• Religious exemption forms required for PAPR and certain vaccine exemptions, subject to approval
• Passport-style photo required for badge issuance

Additional Notes

• Must comply with call requirements: 8-12 call shifts per month including one weekend call
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
• All documentation must be uploaded and verified according to facility and agency standards

This position is ideal for experienced Cath Lab Technologists with required licensure and certifications, who are comfortable with call responsibilities and working extended day shifts in a cardiac catheterization lab setting.
