Description
Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel Assignment
Location: Lander, Wyoming
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Job Description
- Provide critical care to patients with severe medical conditions such as heart attack, stroke, shock, severe trauma, and respiratory distress.
- Assess patient conditions and develop/implement care plans.
- Treat wounds and provide advanced life support.
- Assist physicians with procedures.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs.
- Manage and adjust ventilators, intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), and other medical equipment.
- Administer intravenous fluids and medications.
- Perform suctioning as needed.
- Collaborate with the critical care team.
- Respond to life-saving situations using established nursing protocols.
- Act as a patient advocate and provide education/support to patient families.
- Care for pre- and post-operative patients.
- Occasionally care for pediatric/adolescent patients (no dedicated pediatric unit).
- May float between two campuses depending on census.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Wyoming
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association or ENPC certification issued by the American Heart Association
- TNCC certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
