Job Opportunity: Mammography Tech
Location: Santa Rosa, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (5 days a week, 8 hours per day, 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 40
Job Description
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology

Required Qualifications
- Valid Mammography Technologist license in California
- Minimum of 1 year of Mammography Technologist experience
- Mammography Technologist experience within the last year
Required Documentation & Background Checks
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
- Social Security Card (as applicable for I9 verification).
- E-Verify attestation required.
- Background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually.
- Education verification required for all candidates; nursing degree verification for RNs/LVNs.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated monthly.
- State-specific background checks as applicable (e.g., Washington State Patrol Search if working in WA or border facilities).
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start; instant tests acceptable.
- References: Minimum of 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting.
- Employment application covering at least the last 5 years of employment.
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, confirming ability to work with or without accommodation.
- Fit mask test required for travel candidates starting on or after 2/5/2024; must be updated annually.
- Immunizations/vaccinations required (or signed declination accepted):
- TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) within 10 years
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual updates required)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal Flu vaccine during flu season (9/1–3/30) or signed declination
- COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with adherence to masking policies
- Respiratory Safety Clearance required annually for travel candidates.
Competencies & Training
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable.
- Competency exams required by specialty.
- Color Blind Testing may be required on a unit basis.
- Annual completion of regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp), including:
- Annual Regulatory Requirements
- System Specialty Specific Modules
- Regional Core and Specialty Specific Modules (California region)
- Epic training modules required if applicable to the facility/unit.
Additional Requirements
- Photo for badge: Passport-style photo with neutral background required.
- Float Policy Acknowledgement: May be required to float to other nearby facilities.
- Skills checklist: Required annually for applicable units.
