Description
Exercise Physiologist (Cardiac Rehab) – Temp
Location: Petoskey, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Shift: Days
Hours per Day: 8
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Assess patient health indicators such as blood pressure, oxygen usage, and heart rhythms before, during, and after physical exertion.
- Design customized exercise programs targeting clinical recovery, weight management, or athletic performance.
- Educate patients and families on lifestyle changes to prevent or manage chronic conditions.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and physical therapists to integrate exercise therapy into comprehensive patient care plans.
- Note: A strict attendance policy is enforced; three absences or late arrivals (over 20 minutes) may result in immediate termination, with exceptions for documented illness or hospitalization.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Michigan
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or physiology
- Experience as a Rehabilitation Therapist
