Description
Sonographer (General) - Temp Position
Location: Fort Dodge, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Shift: Days
Hours per Day: 8
Contract Length: 52 weeks (1 year)
Job Description
- Provide professional and clinical knowledge and skills in patient care and management as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
- Orientation occurs weekly, every Monday.
- Work schedule includes 36-40 hours per week with overtime billable after 40 hours.
- Call back and on-call duties with additional compensation.
- Local candidates are not eligible; candidates must have a taxable address more than 60 miles from the facility.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of Sonographer experience.
- At least 1 prior travel contract completed.
- Minimum 24 months of recent experience as a General Sonographer / General Ultrasound Tech.
- Experience with Philips Epiq7 ultrasound machines, Change Healthcare PACS, and Trophon equipment.
- Certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Skills checklist specific to General Sonographer / General Ultrasound Tech discipline.
- Professional references or performance evaluations within the last 24 months are preferred.

- EMR system used: EPIC.
- OT and holiday pay multipliers apply.
- Charge/precept and on-call pay available.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to floating within the discipline.
