Registered Nurse (Acute Care Med Surg) - Georgia
Location
- Americus, Georgia
Contract Length
- 17 weeks
Unit Details
- Acute Care Med Surg unit
- 36 beds
- Nurse to patient ratios: RN/LPN 6:1, CNA 12:1
- EMR system: Meditech
- Hospitalist available in-house 24/7
- Respiratory Therapist available 24/7
- IV team not available onsite; PICC team consults as needed
- Charge nurse and nurse aides present
Schedule
- 12-hour day shifts (7a-7p)
- Every other weekend required
- Holidays required
- Occasional floating
- Floor-specific orientation: 3 shifts

- End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD)
- Pneumonia

- Altered Mental Status (AMS)

Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
- Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
