Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) - Travel Position

Location: Kissimmee, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36


Job Summary

Join a Joint Commission accredited hospital known for advanced medical technology and comprehensive patient care services including Emergency Care, Trauma, Stroke Center, Neonatal Level II, and Open Heart Program. Work in a Radiology unit performing CT, Ultrasound, and general radiology procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsies, patient assessments, and patient workups/discharges.


Unit Information

  • Unit: Radiology
  • Number of Beds: Approximately 400
  • Patient Ratios: Vary depending on procedure
  • Staffing: Includes 2 RNs and unit secretaries/tech availability
  • Documentation System: Meditech
  • Scheduling: 40 hours plus on-call
  • Floating Policy: Depends on skill set
  • Dress Code: Olive green and black uniforms

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Radiology Technician license in Florida
  • Minimum 2 years of Radiology Technician experience, including experience within the last year
  • ARRT Certification
  • BLS Certification
  • Experience with conscious sedation
  • Critical care experience
  • X-Ray Technician experience
  • Assessment of skills and knowledge for a Radiology Technologist or understanding of USP 800 standards for hazardous drug handling

Skills and Procedures

  • Perform CT, Ultrasound, and general radiology procedures
  • Conduct paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsies
  • Patient assessment and workup/discharge
  • Experience with conscious sedation is mandatory
