Description
Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery
Location: Butte, Montana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Variable 12-hour shifts
Hours per Week: 36
Job Summary
- Perform independent nursing and delegated medical functions according to state Board of Nursing standards.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
- Evaluate health status through ongoing data collection and assessment.
- Provide health teaching, counseling, therapy, and treatment supportive of patient well-being.
- Execute delegated medical functions and refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed.
- Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans.
- Document care in compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
- Utilize resources effectively.
- May float frequently to the NICU; low census may require floating to Med Surg floor.
- May be required to be on-call during scheduled shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Montana.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited school.
- Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year.
- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience.
- Proficiency with high-flow CPAP and BiPAP.
- Current certifications in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Fetal Monitoring.
