Surgery Tech Position

Location

• Golden, Colorado

Job Summary

• Perform various duties as a member of the surgical team to ensure safe and successful operative procedures.
• Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and report to Surgical Services management.
• Support surgical operations initiatives and safety plans.
• Maintain sterile field and ensure environmental safety in the operating room.
• Prepare operating room and instruments for surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons during procedures within the scope of practice.
• Identify and respond to emergency situations appropriately.
• Assist with room turnover, cleaning, and preparation for subsequent procedures.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Shift Details

• Night shift, 4 nights per week (Monday to Thursday)
• 10-hour shifts (8:30 PM to 7:00 AM)
• No on-call or weekend shifts required

Required Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technologist experience
• Clinical experience in an accredited hospital
• Experience in sterile field management, emergency response, life support in surgical care, and supervision within surgical services

Education

• Graduation from a surgical technology program within the past six months, including non-accredited programs

Certifications & Licensure

• Valid Surgical Technologist license in Colorado
• Certified Surgical Technologist or NBSTSA certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
