Physical Therapist (PT) - Washington, Tonasket
Job Details
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Days
- Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
- Schedule: Outpatient shifts typically start at 7:30 AM with options for 8, 9, or 10-hour days; some schedule flexibility with manager approval
- Weekend/Holiday Requirements: None
- Work Setting: Inpatient, outpatient, and long-term care (LTC); typically assigned to a specific area with potential to float to other areas
- Patient Load: 3-11 patients per day, with 5 therapists on duty daily
- Patient Population: Wide range including infants to geriatrics; diagnoses include pelvic floor, hand therapy, post-stroke, total joints, pediatrics (including autism), and more
- Team Composition: PTs, OTs, clerical staff, rehab aides, PT assistants, rehab techs, and massage therapists
- Orientation: 1-2 shifts with a preceptor
- Dress Code: Professional attire (typically khaki) or scrubs
- Work Environment: Traveler friendly with inclusion in staff activities; small town living near outdoor recreational areas; approximately 30% Spanish-speaking population
Required Qualifications
- License: Valid Physical Therapist license for Washington state
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Experience: Preference for candidates with both inpatient and outpatient experience; first-time travelers are welcome
- Skills: Flexibility to treat any patient regardless of age or diagnosis; must be adaptable to a variety of patient needs and settings

- Must indicate in submission if the clinician has previously worked at this facility
- Emphasis on communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within the team
