Physical Therapist (PT) - Washington, Tonasket

Job Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days
• Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Schedule: Outpatient shifts typically start at 7:30 AM with options for 8, 9, or 10-hour days; some schedule flexibility with manager approval
• Weekend/Holiday Requirements: None
• Work Setting: Inpatient, outpatient, and long-term care (LTC); typically assigned to a specific area with potential to float to other areas
• Patient Load: 3-11 patients per day, with 5 therapists on duty daily
• Patient Population: Wide range including infants to geriatrics; diagnoses include pelvic floor, hand therapy, post-stroke, total joints, pediatrics (including autism), and more
• Team Composition: PTs, OTs, clerical staff, rehab aides, PT assistants, rehab techs, and massage therapists
• Orientation: 1-2 shifts with a preceptor
• Dress Code: Professional attire (typically khaki) or scrubs
• Work Environment: Traveler friendly with inclusion in staff activities; small town living near outdoor recreational areas; approximately 30% Spanish-speaking population

Required Qualifications

• License: Valid Physical Therapist license for Washington state
• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Experience: Preference for candidates with both inpatient and outpatient experience; first-time travelers are welcome
• Skills: Flexibility to treat any patient regardless of age or diagnosis; must be adaptable to a variety of patient needs and settings
