MRI Technician - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Job Details

• Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
• Shift: 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday
• Call: Based on department needs; currently call rotation every 3rd weekend 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM and holidays as needed
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Work Locations: Primary site with floating to other sites within 40 miles as needed

Required Qualifications

• MRI Technologist with a minimum of 3 years of experience, including experience within the last year
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification
• Prior travel experience
• Experience with Siemens MRI equipment
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Job Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures within scope of practice
• Float onsite within skill set and to other nearby sites as needed (sites up to 40 miles away)

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements

• Submission of current professional license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start
• Submission of professional resume/profile and at least two professional references prior to assignment
• Completion of required onboarding documents and agreements
• Completion of Ascension Core Competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics (updated every 3 years)
• Completion of specialty skills checklist and specialty exam demonstrating competency (updated annually and every 3 years respectively)
• Criminal background check and EPLS screening within 90 days of start, updated annually or after breaks in service
• Drug screening (12 panel) within 30 days prior to start, updated annually or after breaks in service
• Verification of education relevant to clinical work within 90 days of start, updated after breaks in service
• Health and immunization requirements including:

  • MMR (two vaccines or positive titer; no declinations)
  • Varicella (two vaccines, immunity evidence, or history; no declinations)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination
  • Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years (no declinations)
  • Fit test for respiratory protection (preferred before start, can be completed onsite)
  • Health statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
  • TB screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA testing, chest X-ray if positive, and annual TB questionnaire
• Ascension badge photo (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no alterations)
• Valid driver's license or state ID matching address requirements

Additional Notes

• Flu vaccine is optional; if declined during flu season, mask wearing is required
• Floating to multiple sites within a 40-mile radius may be required based on department needs
