Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer

Location: Winchester, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit: OB/GYN (Maternal Fetal Medicine)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
Weekend Hours: None
Call Requirements: None
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36


Job Description

  • Operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment to assess a wide range of OB/GYN conditions, focusing on high-risk pregnancies.
  • Perform vaginal and abdominal ultrasounds on OB/GYN patients.
  • Conduct obstetrical sonography with a strong understanding of complex conditions.
  • Work independently to perform various ultrasound examinations.
  • Evaluate patient tolerance for procedures.
  • Communicate diagnostic results with healthcare team members.
  • Provide ultrasound guidance during procedures.
  • Document diagnostic and patient data accurately in the medical record.
  • Assist with appropriate billing practices related to ultrasound services.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, including recent experience within the last year.
  • Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients and OB/GYN sonography.
  • Certification: ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) required.
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association required.
