Scrub Tech
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Information
- Unit: Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP)
- Number of Beds: 7
- Patient Ratios: Variable, based on acuity
- Staffing: 2 RNs and 1 surgical tech
- Equipment: GE
- Documentation System: EPIC
- Scheduling: As needed
- Floating Policy: May be floated as needed when census is low
- Patient Experience Focus: OB/GYN
Job Description
- Procedures performed: Vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&E, D&C, tubal ligation, vaginal repair, hysterectomy
- Advanced skills needed: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Required Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
- Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
- Experience as an OB Technician
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Dress Code
- Scrubs provided and required
Additional Notes
- Unit may offer schedule flexibility and exposure to a variety of OB/GYN surgical procedures
- Opportunity to work with experienced staff and modern equipment
