Radiation Therapist Travel/Contract Job - York, Pennsylvania


Job Details

  • Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Schedule: No weekends, holidays, or call requirements
  • Floating: Not required
  • Work Environment: Tobacco and fragrance-free facility; may care for COVID-19 patients

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Radiation Therapist license in Pennsylvania
  • Minimum 2 years of Radiation Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
  • ARRT certification
  • BLS certification
  • True Beams experience
  • Experience with EPIC

Required Documentation & Compliance

  • Background Checks:

    • 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
    • Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search (must be finalized prior to start)
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
    • PA FBI fingerprinting required within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days or will be removed from assignment
    • Pennsylvania Child Abuse Search required within 5 years; candidate may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days or will be removed from assignment
  • Certifications:

    • BLS (Basic Life Support) required (AHA or ARC accepted)
    • ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, NIH Stroke Certification, and others as applicable (refer to job/unit specifics)
  • Health Requirements:

    • Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
    • Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days of start; PPD not accepted
    • Immunizations or positive titers required for:
      • Rubeola (Measles)
      • Mumps
      • Rubella
      • Hepatitis B (positive titer or full vaccine series plus declination form)
      • Varicella
    • Flu vaccine required during flu season or valid medical/religious exemption (declinations not accepted)
    • COVID-19 vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption/declination accepted
    • N95 Fit Test record within 12 months of start, updated annually
    • Respiratory Safety clearance within 1 year of start, renewed annually
    • Negative 9-panel drug test within 1 year of start (required for agency only, not by facility)
  • Professional Documentation:

    • Two professional references within 3 years
    • Most recent resume or employment application
    • Annual skills checklist
    • Clear, passport-style photo for badge (no masks, hats, or sunglasses; religious headwear allowed)
  • Facility-Specific Documents:

    • Review and sign facility Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, Commitment to Health & Wellness, Non-Employee Affidavit, and Hepatitis B declination form
    • Complete required Learning Management System (LMS) modules on PC/laptop prior to start (not accessible via cell phone)
    • New Hire Orientation must be completed by end of first day

Additional Notes

  • Maximum 7 days of requested time off (RTO)
  • No weekend, holiday, or call shifts required
  • Manager interview required after clinical screening
  • Candidate will be reviewed for clinical fit before final approval
  • Facility is tobacco and fragrance free; candidates must be notified prior to submission
