Description
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Assignment
Location: Tallahassee, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Job Overview
- Work as a Respiratory Therapist in a 266-bed acute care hospital with 24/7 Emergency Services including Pediatric ER, Senior Care ER, and Express Care ER.
- Rotate through all inpatient units including two 10-bed ICUs.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team rounding and collaborate closely with multiple disciplines to enhance patient care.
- Use advanced respiratory equipment such as Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators, Vapotherm, Phillips V60+, and Siemens EPOC bedside ABG analyzers.
- Perform procedures including aerosol treatments, BiPAP management, ventilator management, intubation, arterial line insertion, and bedside bronchoscopy assistance.
- Documentation is done using Meditech system.
- Scheduling requires a minimum of three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends.
- Floating policy includes rotation throughout all inpatient units.
- Patient interaction includes use of AIDET communication framework.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Florida
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, NBRC
- Experience in Critical Care and Emergency Care settings
Work Environment & Culture
- Join a team of 30 respiratory therapists with diverse experience levels.
- Work in a supportive environment where RTs practice at the top of their license.
- Uniform: Scrubs required.
