Radiology Tech Travel Opportunity
Location: Salinas, California
Employment Type: Travel - Allied Health (Clinical)
Contract Length: 10 weeks
Work Hours: 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Job Summary
Perform radiographic, fluoroscopic, and portable diagnostic procedures under minimal supervision to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. Duties vary by assignment area and require knowledge and skills appropriate to patient age groups served.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures (e.g., chest, extremities, spines, catheter placements).
- Prepare patients for exams and assist them during procedures (e.g., help to restrooms, provide blankets).
- Report changes in patient condition for follow-up.
- Transport patients safely by stretcher, bed, wheelchair, or walking, providing care as needed.
- Assist patients on/off x-ray tables and provide bedpans or urinals as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and replenish supplies.
- Report equipment malfunctions and assist with special assignments.
- Assist with emergency medical treatment under physician direction.
- Help schedule patient exams.
- Attend department meetings and in-services.
- Administer contrast media and flush lines with normal saline under supervision.
- Under direct radiologist supervision, may prepare Lidocaine/buffered Lidocaine for procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technologist license in California
- Minimum 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- Completion of a two-year Radiologic Technology training program approved by the AMA
- ARRT certification
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
- Experience performing catheter-related procedures

- Radiology badge must be provided by the agency (not provided by the client).
