Registered Nurse (Critical Care Unit) - Travel Position
Location
- Corpus Christi, Texas

- Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Job Summary
- Provide routine and complex nursing care independently in a critical care setting.
- Manage care for high acuity patients, including those post cardio-thoracic surgery fresh out of OR.
- Care for patients with devices such as IMPELLA, Balloon Pump, Arctic Sun, TABLO XT/CRRT.
- Handle patients with multiple comorbidities and drips.
- Utilize nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments, monitor side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
- Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.
- Previous experience with Epic electronic health records preferred.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of Coronary Care Unit (CCU) experience within the last year
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
