Unit Information

  • Emergency Department
  • 28 beds
  • Level 3 Trauma Center
  • Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI
  • Stroke Certified

Staffing & Patient Ratio

  • 18 staff per 24 hours
  • Day shift: CNC, 3 RNs, Unit Clerk, Greeter
  • Mid shift: 3 RNs, 2 PCTs
  • Night shift: CNC, 3 RNs, Unit Clerk, Greeter
  • Patient ratio: 1:4

Equipment & Technology

  • GE monitors
  • Lifepaks
  • Baxter IV pumps
  • Ranger rapid infuser and blood warmer
  • EMR system: Meditech Expanse

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Kentucky
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Certifications required:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
    • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
    • Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)
    • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks
