Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Registered Nurse
Location: Issaquah, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work in cardiac catheterization or interventional radiology settings including STEMI, EP Lab, interventional and procedural areas.
- Responsibilities include biopsies (GI, GU/Renal, Peripheral Vascular), stent placement, blood/blood products administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, use of cooling/warming blankets, obtaining 12 lead EKGs, and managing syringe pumps.
- Shift: Day shift, 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM to 7:30 PM).
- On-call requirement: One weekday and one weekend per month minimum; additional days and weekends may be required depending on staffing and vacation.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab.
- Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year.
- Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
- Social Security Card (as applicable for I9 and state requirements).
- Background Check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years; must be updated annually.
- Education Verification for nursing degree; international education requires diploma/transcript or CES report.
- NURSYS verification required for RN license.
- Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, confirming ability to work with or without accommodation.
- Immunizations and Health Screenings:
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years or declination accepted.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually.
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer with acceptable documentation.
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination.
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer with acceptable documentation.
- Seasonal Flu vaccine during flu season or declination.
- COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with adherence to infection control policies.
- Drug Screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start; instants acceptable.
- Respirator Safety Clearance required annually for travel candidates.
- Fit Mask testing required for travel candidates, updated annually.
Additional Requirements
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years.
- Employment application covering at least the last 5 years of employment with month/year format for dates.
- Skills checklist updated annually as applicable.
- Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp).
- Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required.

- Candidates must be willing to float to other nearby facilities as needed.
- Compact license holders must complete Washington Multi-State Licensed Nurses Demographic Attestation prior to starting.
- Background checks and other verifications have specific state and facility requirements; compliance is mandatory.
