Registered Nurse (Med Surg) - Travel Position

Location: Clyde, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Weekly Hours: 36 hours

Facility & Unit Overview

• 39-bed unit with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Patient ratio approximately 1:4
• Specialty: Medical-Surgical
• Common diagnoses include fractures, COPD, hypertension, chest pain, congestive heart failure, infections
• Electronic Health Record system: Paragon
• No call requirements
• Float requirements include weekends
• Dress code: RN scrub color navy blue

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Additional Information

• Orientation sessions held bi-weekly with upcoming start dates available
• Travel candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify
• No weekend call required, but weekend float shifts expected
• Facility includes services such as orthopedics, spine, cardiology, general surgery, women’s care, emergency department, behavioral health, and multi-specialty clinics
• Joint Commission Accredited Chest Pain Center
