Registered Nurse – Endo/GI Lab
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours per Week: 40
Job Overview
Seeking an experienced RN for an Endoscopy/Gastrointestinal Lab with advanced procedural support including:
- ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography)
- EUS (Endoscopic Ultrasound) with Fine Needle Aspiration assistance
- EMR/ESD (Endoscopic Mucosal/Submucosal Resection)
- Enteroscopy
- Endolumenal Surgery support (suturing, stent deployment, Endoflip device setup)
Responsibilities include managing specialized equipment and performing high-level disinfection and reprocessing of complex scopes following SGNA and manufacturer standards.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license
- ACLS and BLS certification
- Strong circulating and teching skills for advanced GI procedures
- Must pass a skills exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90% (open book)
Work Schedule & Call
- Typical schedule: 5x8 or 4x10 shifts (to be discussed during interview)
- Weekly weeknight call plus weekend call coverage
- Call frequency: approximately 1-2 weeknights per week and every 3 weekends
Additional Requirements
- Fingernail policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas; refusal to comply will result in contract termination
Experience
- Prior experience with advanced Endo/GI lab procedures preferred (specific years not stated)
