Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Mount Vernon, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Day shift, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each)
- Hours per week: 36
- Start Date: ASAP
- Weekends: Every other weekend required
- Call: Not required
- Floating: Required as needed within scope of practice
- EMR System: EPIC
- Block Scheduling: Willing to discuss during interview
- Locals Allowed: Yes
Required Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington
- Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification
Health and Safety Requirements
- Tdap vaccine or signed declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes
- Documentation of immunity or vaccination for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B (3 doses or signed declination)
- 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31); mask required if declined
Experience
- Specialty: Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery
- Years of experience: Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Prior travel experience: Not required (first-time travelers accepted)
This position offers an opportunity to work in a Labor and Delivery unit with a reputable hospital using EPIC EMR, with a defined schedule and clear certification requirements.
