Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Location: Vineland, New Jersey
Shift: Nights, 12-hour shift (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Must have experience with Epic electronic health record system (new requirement).
• Provide care in Labor & Delivery with postpartum couplet care experience.
• Weekend schedule: every other weekend required.
• Holiday schedule: every other holiday required.
• Return to Office (RTO) requirement: no more than 3 days.
• Scrub color: Steel Grey.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience within the last 6 months.
• Current New Jersey RN license or Compact RN license (pending licenses not accepted).
• Certifications required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • All certifications must not expire within 30 days of the start date.

Orientation & Onboarding

• Completion of full orientation is mandatory; failure to complete results in immediate termination.
• Orientation includes:

  • Virtual Welcome meeting and online HealthStream modules to be completed by Monday of start week.
  • In-person classes typically held Tuesday through Thursday at various locations (location details provided via HealthStream on the day of class).
  • POCT class attendance required but not during orientation week.
  • Unit-based orientation scheduled by manager.
  • In-person ID badge appointment required during orientation (photo submissions not accepted). Badge is necessary for clocking in.

Additional Requirements & Compliance

• Must comply with background checks, drug screening, employment and educational verification, and various health screenings and vaccinations including COVID-19, Influenza, Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and TB screening.
• Must pass competency exams and skills checklists.
• Adherence to confidentiality and mandatory annual training requirements.

This position is suitable for experienced Labor & Delivery nurses seeking a 13-week night shift contract in New Jersey with specific Epic system experience and postpartum couplet care skills.
