Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray Tech) - Pennsylvania, Uniontown

Job Details

• Specialty: X-Ray Technologist
• Location: Uniontown, Pennsylvania
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Rotating shifts including weekends, afternoons, midnights, and holidays
• Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Call: Rotate call and weekends; 30-minute response time
• Work Environment:

  • 2 designated X-Ray rooms (1 inpatient, 1 outpatient) plus 2 portable units
  • Imaging performed in both inpatient and outpatient areas
  • Average daily patient volume: 25-32 studies between hospital and outpatient center
  • Outpatient center completes 11-14 non-contrast studies daily
  • No IV starts required
  • Radiation badge must be provided by the agency (not provided by facility)
  • No emergency call required

Shifts

• Hospital site shifts: 6:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. and 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
• Outpatient center shift: 6 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
• Saturday shift: 6:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (rotational, includes inpatient and outpatient orders)
• All shifts are rotational with no lead techs; supervisors present for each area

Equipment & Systems

• Radiology PACS and equipment specific to X-Ray and MRI
• EMR system currently Cerner, transitioning to Epic
• MRI equipment includes Siemens Espree and Toshiba Atlas (non-contrast studies at outpatient center; contrast studies at hospital site)

Required Certifications & Licenses

• ARRT certification required
• BLS certification required

Additional Information

• Department performs over 200 scans/studies daily on patients of all ages
• Radiologist coverage on-site Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. via third-party service
• Customized orientation provided based on traveler needs
• Scrub color provided: light grey

Required Qualifications

• ARRT certification for X-Ray Technologist
• BLS certification
