Occupational Therapist IPR
Location
- Detroit, Michigan
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Two position options:
- Four 10-hour shifts: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
- Four 10-hour shifts: Sunday through Wednesday
Job Summary
- Evaluate and treat patients with physical, emotional, cognitive, and/or psychosocial deficits.
- Assess patients' ability to safely and effectively perform independent living skills.
- Design, implement, and modify treatment plans including type and frequency of treatment.
- Document patient progress and seek consultation as needed.
- Educate patients and family/caregivers about deficits.
- Assist with discharge planning and provide guidance on adaptive equipment and support programs.
- Oversee care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Michigan
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- A bachelor's degree is required
- Experience in a Rehabilitation setting
- Use of treatment modalities
- Consultation seeking
