Description
Registered Nurse (OR RN)
Location: Wheeling, West Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift (options for 8-hour or 10-hour shifts)
Hours per Week: 40 hours
Job Details
- Work in a preoperative surgical center (not a free-standing surgical center)
- Approximately 15 operating suites with 55-70 cases per day
- Common cases include all procedures, covering same-day and overnight stays
- Scrubbing required only for preoperative care
- Floating to OR holding area may be required
- EMR system currently Sunrise; transitioning to EPIC on April 1
- Shift options include: 6am-2pm, 7am-3pm, 8am-4pm, or 9am-5pm
- Weekend rotation required: 8-hour shift (7am-3pm) on Saturday or Sunday plus 24-hour on-call coverage on a weekend day
- On-call schedule includes 1-2 secondary calls per schedule (24-hour call on one weekend day)
- Call response time: 30 minutes
- Occasional midnight shifts may be required to support operational demands
- Dress code and scrub color provided by the facility
- Orientation specific to Surgical Center/pre-op area
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license
- BLS Certification
- IV skills required
- Knowledge of surgical care and robotics
Additional Requirements
- Must comply with a 50-mile radius rule
- Submission must include a copy of an unexpired driver’s license
- Any licensing issues must be disclosed at time of submission
Notes
- No mandatory call/standby requirement beyond scheduled on-call and weekend shifts
