Description

Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Position

Location: Wytheville, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Weekly Hours: 36 (guaranteed)
Weekend Schedule: Rotating weekends
Call Requirements: None

100-bed hospital serving approximately 36,000 individuals in Wythe and Bland counties
Only hospital in Wythe County
Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval
Staffed by over 350 full-time personnel and 80+ physicians
Patient population includes adults, geriatrics, pediatrics, and infants
Equipment includes ventilators, EKG, BiPAPs, oxygen therapy
Electronic Health Records systems: MEDHOST, MEDITECH

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Virginia
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, including experience within the last year
Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP
Experience working with pediatric patients
Experience with adult ventilators and CPAP

Additional Details

Dress code: Scrubs of any color allowed
No call responsibilities
No float requirements

Comfortable working night shifts with rotating weekends
Experienced in managing common diagnoses such as COPD
Skilled in use of respiratory therapy equipment across all age groups including infants and pediatrics
