Description
Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab (Travel)
Location: San Marcos, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Provide routine and complex nursing care independently in a cardiac catheterization lab setting.
- Manage clinical situations by making appropriate assignments and delegating to other care providers.
- Deliver care consistent with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.
Work Schedule
- 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
- On-call requirement: STEMI call 16-20 days out of every 6 weeks
- Weekend on-call: 3 weekends out of every 6
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab, with experience within the last year
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification
Additional Notes
- This is a full-time travel nursing position.
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
