Description
Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
Location: San Antonio, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours (guaranteed)
Job Summary
- Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab unit performing heart catheterizations, electrophysiology (EP) studies, and interventional radiology studies.
- Operate Bi-Plane Imaging Suites.
- Must be able to pull call nights and weekends.
- Floating to other units as needed is required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Texas
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, including experience within the last year
- Cath Lab Tech Certification
- ARRT certification specific to Cath Lab Tech
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Meditech documentation system.
Shift & Scheduling
- Weekend shifts may be required.
- Call requirements include nights and weekends.
Unit & Work Environment
- Cath Lab Techs wear brown scrubs (provided).
- Nail policy: clean and healthy nails required.
- Hair must be covered with an OR cap regardless of color.
- Tattoos should be covered whenever possible; exceptions handled individually.
- Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited.

- The unit emphasizes a positive, caring attitude toward patients and teamwork.
- The hospital has received high safety grades for patient care quality.
- Floating policy applies; travelers must be informed during the interview process.
