Description
Occupational Therapist
Location: Twin Falls, Idaho
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Setting: Inpatient adult care, including Acute Inpatient and Acute Rehab; potential coverage in ICU depending on experience and need
Shift: Days (4 shifts per week, 10 hours each; typically 07:30–18:00)
Hours per Week: 40 hours
Patient Load: 10 to 12 patients per day
Job Description
- Provide occupational therapy services primarily in acute inpatient and rehab units, with occasional ICU coverage
- Common patient diagnoses include orthopedic total joints, neurological conditions such as strokes, occasional brain injuries (excluding TBI), medical cases, and general ICU patients
- Use EPIC electronic medical records system
- Work under supervision of an OT manager present on each shift
- Collaborate with rehab aides (no COTAs on staff)
- Orientation includes 2-3 days of unit-specific training; onboarding schedule may require working Monday through Friday with 8-hour shifts initially
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of licensed occupational therapy experience in acute inpatient or rehab settings
- Valid state OT licensure
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Open to first-time travel therapists
Additional Information
- Rotating weekend shifts required unless assigned a regular weekend schedule
- Holiday shifts as needed
- Scrubs are permitted but must not match colors of other departments (color options provided upon hire)
- Facility enforces a 50-mile radius rule for candidate residence
