Job Summary
- Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging in interventional radiology.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain exams and reduce anxiety.
- Demonstrate knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, patient positioning, imaging techniques, radiation safety, infection control, and quality control.
- Supervise students providing patient care and services.
- Use imaging equipment, PACS, and EPIC systems to process and retain images and exam information.
- Apply radiation safety techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
- Provide age-appropriate care including communication, safety, patient teaching, and understanding physical/functional growth and development.
- Maintain professional competence through continuing education.
- Deliver customer service with confidentiality compliance.
Work Schedule
- 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- 1-2 night shifts per week from 5:00 PM to 6:30 AM
- Every 3rd weekend from Friday 5:00 PM to Monday 6:30 AM
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Kentucky
- Minimum 1 year of interventional radiology technologist experience within the last year
- Current BLS certification
- ARRT (R) certification
- Proficient in the use of imaging equipment
