Description
MRI Tech Travel/Contract Position
Location: Castro Valley, California
Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Perform MRI examinations on neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Prepare patients for scans and treatments to provide diagnostic information.
- Operate MRI equipment, including 3T systems.
- Assist with equipment maintenance and quality assurance/quality control programs.
- Provide support and training assistance within the department.
- Serve as a liaison for the department.
- Perform radiographic exams including general, surgical, portable, emergency, trauma, and outpatient.
- Obtain patient history, explain procedures, and ensure radiation protection compliance.
- Assist physicians during exams and adapt to individual routines.
- Oversee and train other personnel as needed.
- Maintain department records, files, and clerical responsibilities.
- Participate in professional development and education programs.
- Assist with patient transport as necessary.
- Adhere to department and hospital policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year.
- ARRT (MR) certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
